Thursday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! How do you start your prayers each day? Mine are usually with a "Good morning, Lord! Thank You for this day and for giving me another opportunity to know You more and serve You better." That's about the extent of my thank you's before I start praying for my kids as they go to school.

In reading this passage, I am convicted. I don't spend as much time in gratitude and thanksgiving as I should. What if you started your prayers with more gratitude like this verse? How do you think it would shift your relationship with Jesus?

With me, I became more aware of the goodness of God and how I need to take more time praising, thanking, noticing and exalting Him. Maybe you do a better job of that than I do, but I challenge you to do better. You can't over-praise the Lord. But, you can be under-thankful to Him. Be mindful of the Lord today and take extra time to praise Him as you make a great day!
