Good morning! Today is known as Maundy Thursday. It was a busy day for Jesus. He was preparing for the last day of His ministry and His crucifixion. He prepared the Passover meal for the disciples, served them, took communion with them, washed their feet and gave them a new commandment.

They were to love one another and serve one another. By their love and service, people would know they were His disciples by loving the way He loved them. Of all the things He could be concerned with, loving and serving was at the top of His list. Sometimes we forget the simplicity in serving. As a leader, it's easy to get used to people doing things for you.

It's easy to let others clean the toilets, wash the dishes, take out the trash, sweep or mop the floors, prepare the meals, do the laundry and take care of all the mundane tasks we can easily take for granted. I encourage you to find something you normally would not do and find a way to serve someone. Offer to do something uncomfortable and humbling. Find a way to love those who would sell you out.

Why? Because Jesus even served Judas who sold Him out for thirty pieces of silver. Jesus still washed Judas' feet. He served him communion. He kissed him on the cheek to remind him of how much he was loved. Serve one another that others may see Jesus by how you love. Serve and you will always be able to make a great day!
