Good morning! I remember in my younger years believing in God but having such a fear of Him, I would not draw near Him. I understood His holiness, but never felt like I could serve Him or felt like He could love me. I didn't know how loving He truly is.

Once I realized He loved me and nothing I could do would change that, I wasn't so fearful of Him to draw near to Him. I realized His love for me was shown through Christ who died for me. It cast out the fear I had of being destroyed if I got close to God.

His love cast out the unreasonable fear. Yes, we should have a fear of the Lord, but not a fear that pushes us away from Him. A fear that draws us near to Him knowing He is the only One who can cleanse us of sin and declare us righteous. I no longer had a fear of punishment when I encountered His love.

I no longer feared the torment of hell because Jesus forgave me. His love washed me clean of sin through His blood. So, I no longer have to fear torment; I can walk in His love that perfects me. Let His love cast out all of your fear so you can always fearlessly make a great day!
