Good morning! I hear a lot of people telling Christians that since they don't celebrate Halloween, they shouldn't celebrate Christmas because of some of the pagan elements and roots to the holiday. We need to remember that we must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.
Whatever you do, do it for the Lord and to glorify Him. Align everything you do with the word of God. If it is written in His word, you don't need to pray about it; you need to obey it. As it is with any holiday, regardless of its origins or purpose, we must ask ourselves how we can glorify God on that day, in that season and at all times.
We shouldn't get caught up in worldly traditions anymore than we should in religious traditions. Everything must be done in accordance with Scripture, in obedience to the word and with the motive to love God, love others and to glorify Him in all we do regardless of our personal preferences. Whatever you do, do it all in the name of the Lord that others may see Him in what you say and do. May everything you do leads others to believe in Jesus. Whatever you say and do, do it for Him and do your best to make a great day!
