Sunday's Verse of the Day Devotional

ree

Good morning! Too many people who have a big platform are coming out saying how they have given their lives to Jesus and been saved, which is great, but when there is no life change, did they really give their lives to Him?

Holding onto the lifestyle that Jesus paid the price to free you from is not being saved. If we say we love Jesus, yet still live like the world, we have not been transformed. We do not bear the evidence of salvation if we lie about our conversion through clinging to worldly lusts. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in them.

All the things the devil tempts you with, no matter what sin it is, is found in the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. He tempted Jesus with all these things and Jesus held onto the love of the Father and the truth of the word. He did not fall for the enemy's trap. Jesus never sinned and when we get born again, we should do our best to stay clear of all sin.

Let the love of the Father change the desires of your heart to match the kingdom of heaven and not the kingdom of darkness. Let Him remove your lust for the things of this world and be satisfied with the things of heaven and the love of the Father. It is sufficient for all things. Love Jesus and let His love for you keep you from sin as you make a great day!
