Good morning! One of the hardest things for people to do is wait. We seemingly have instant everything at the tip of our fingers from food, to groceries, products, even gifts can all be done via an app. You know what's even harder? To wait in silence.
We fill our lives with so much noise and everything is crying out for your attention. Commercials, ads, apps, social media, texts, emails...think about it. How often do you turn off everything and just sit in silence? Try it and see how long you can do it.
I'll wager you start feeling anxious after a couple of minutes because we have trained ourselves to be constantly busy. People wonder why they have so much trouble sleeping, interacting with others without a phone as a buffer and get irritable if they don't look at a screen. This is why we need to train ourselves to be still and wait on the Lord.
It's easy to pray and tell God all the things we need, but how often do we sit and wait to hear the answer? How often do we sit and meditate on His word? Let your soul become more hungry for God than your flesh is for technology. Let Him fill the void that technology is trying to take the place of. Because it will never fill the space only God is meant to fill. Let Him fill you with the water from the well of salvation so you can be satisfied by Him and make each day a great day!
