Sunday's Verse of the Day Devotional

ree

Good morning! I hear a lot of people say, "Only God can judge me!" I pray for them when I hear it that God would forgive them because they don't know what they are saying. If they truly knew and understood God, they would have a healthy fear of Him and His judgment.

Unrepentant sin invites His judgment. He has to repay you for your working of iniquity. The wages of sin is death. That is His vengeance for sin. The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus. Jesus paid the cost for God's wrath for our sin.

But, if we deny Jesus, live unrepentant, deceive ourselves to thinking we have no sin, we stand in the fullness of God's vengeance and judgment. How terrifying to fall into the hands of the living God! You stand in danger of hellfire, and hell isn't the worst place you end up.

Revelation 20:14-15 tell us that Death and Hell will both be thrown into the lake of fire along with anyone whose name was not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life. That is the final judgment and that is enough for me to know I want nothing to with it! I hope you don't either! Let Jesus cover your sin by repenting, asking for forgiveness and living for Him every day. Then you will have the assurance of heaven and know how to make every day a great day!
