Sunday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! One of the greatest ways you can choose to make a great day each day is to share the hope of Christ that is in you. Tell someone about Jesus and what good things He has done in your life. It is our mission.

In fact, it is our co-mission meaning we should all be working together to share the gospel. And not only that, but to make disciples. Our goal should not be to get converts. The command is to make disciples.

The problem occurs when we try to make someone into something we ourselves are not. If we do not become a student of the word and follow Jesus, we can never expect anyone else to do it either. We become a hypocrite.

So, be a disciple, not just a Christian. Learn every day. Read, pray and worship every day. Practice being in God's presence and then take that out into the lost world and share the hope of Christ with others. It is commanded so it is not optional. Go out and share Jesus and teach others the lifestyle that leads to making a great day!
