Sunday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! In view of God's goodness, mercy and grace, shouldn't we live with gratefulness as a way to show Him we appreciate His love for us? We should not treat it with contempt by living like forgiveness is common and cheap; because it's not.

It cost Jesus His life for us to have forgiveness and salvation. So, we ought to walk away from the very things that put Him on the cross and made us guilty in sin. We have a responsibility to live like we know what gift we have been given. Are you working on cleansing yourself of the things of this world?

If we continue to live like we always have, then we have not experienced His grace with the understanding of its cost. We need the fear of God knowing He can not just throw our bodies into the flames, but also our soul for eternity. Let us take holiness serious again and live in reverence for God who in His great mercy, gave us His Son to cleanse us of sin. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling as you make a great day!
