Sunday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Happy Father's Day! God is a good God. He doesn't leave us as orphans and abandon us when things get tough. He makes good on His promises and He stands behind His word.

He has made provision for us in eternity and has something perfect awaiting those who believe. No more sorrow, no more pain, no more death, no more tears, no more grief or loss. What a day that will be! God is more than our God; He is our Father.

A good father makes sacrifices for his children so they have all they need. God sacrificed His own Son so that we who believe in Him will never have to be separated from Him again. As a father, I can't imagine giving my son for another, especially if they scoffed at the gift.

But God in His love and mercy has done that for us. He is a good Father! I pray you find hope in Him today and put your trust in Him. He is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that breaks His promises. He is faithful. He will wipe all the hurt away from this life and give you eternal peace and joy in heaven. Think about this, honor Him and the men He has placed in your life today as you make a great day!
