Good morning! So often, people are chosen or overlooked based on their appearance alone. As shallow as that is, it is the reality. This creates a lot of problems because looks are only one aspect of a person.
The character of a person is more important than their appearance. Someone may look great but be a really immoral person. On the other hand, someone may look like they are not capable but may be the best choice and more than capable.
Being overlooked based on appearance is unjust and can leave you feeling frustrated. Just remember, Jesus was overlooked too. He was seen as too common to be the Messiah. He was dismissed all the time, yet it didn't stop Him from carrying out the will of God.
Judge the way God judges, not by appearance but by character. If you get dismissed, don't give up. Keep going and serving with fervency because God sees what man overlooks. He will reward you and advance you at the proper time. Let Him help you to defeat discouragement so even if you are overlooked, you can always make a great day!
