Sunday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Writer's picture: Bret SanorBret Sanor

Good morning! The phrase, "in that day" keeps coming up and is mentioned a lot in Scripture. It is talking about the Day of the Lord. We read that everything will be destroyed by fire and there will be a new heaven and a new earth.

Jesus is referencing this reality but gives us a promise and reassures us of things to come. Though things we see and know will pass away, His words are eternal. Nothing can destroy them or stop them from what they have been sent to do.

It is a great comfort to know that even if the universe melts away, His words by no means at all will ever pass away. His words are fireproofed and etched in eternity. We can trust His words and the complete word of God knowing it will last forever. Hallelujah! Think on this, take comfort from it and praise the Lord for it as you make a great day!
