Good morning! Good morning! Life has a way of throwing unexpected battles and overwhelming seasons our way. When the pressure mounts, our natural instinct is often to look for a quick escape—scrolling through our phones, retreating into isolation, or relying on our own self-sufficiency. But Psalm 119:114 points us toward a far better refuge.
Real peace doesn't come from running away from our problems; it comes from running to the One who oversees them. A refuge is a safe place, a shelter from storms and security from attacks. A shield keeps the onslaught of the enemy at bay and stops the things he uses to launch our way to try to hurt, destroy and distract us. But we can rest like Jesus in the boat in the midst of our storms when He is our refuge.
Jesus was not only full of the Word, but He is the Word. He rested in knowing the Father is who He says He is. We can only have complete confidence in the truth if we fill our lives with the truth and have a relationship with Jesus. Through abiding in Him, the truth and His love, we have no room left for fear. Put your full hope in Him today as you navigate the storms and obstacles of life so you can rest assured He will help you make a great day!
