Monday's Devotional - 8/31/2026

Good morning! Holiness is a lost word today. It is not emphasized or recognized in most sermons or Bible studies today. It should be because the Bible tells us that without holiness, none will see the Lord. Jesus told us to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect.

Just because a famous person says they are a Christian doesn't make them the standard for Christianity. People proclaim Jesus and still cuss like a drunken sailor. That's not holiness. People talk about Jesus but still live in sinful relationships and promote sexual lifestyles outside of the parameters of God's word. People make excuses to justify their sin.

They should all not think that this is pleasing to God. He desires for His bride to be clean, dressed and ready for Him when He returns to take her to the wedding supper of the Lamb. If you are living in sin, turn from it. If you have bad habits that are unbecoming of a Christian, discipline yourself to get rid of them.

Sometimes we want God to take things away that is our responsibility to lay down. You cannot continue to live in that which God sent His Son to die for and cleanse you of and think you are living right. Cleanse yourself of things that don't belong, ask Him to change your desires to what He desires and be diligent to keep yourself away from temptation. Then, you will learn how to live in holiness and make each day a great day!
