Good morning! This is a verse from a passage of Scripture about having Christian character. It describes what Christian behavior is supposed to look like. Love is at the forefront, without hypocrisy and hating evil comes while clinging to good is next.
Being kind to one another in brotherly love, honoring each other, considering others better than yourself. That's humility. Being diligent, fervent in spirit and in service to the Lord. Then, this verse tells us to rejoice in hope.
You may not be able to rejoice in circumstance, but we don't live in circumstance, we live in Christ who gives us eternal hope. We can rejoice in Him and that hope. We can be patient in tribulation because we know our Redeemer and Deliverer lives. We can stay steadfast in prayer because we know He hears us and answers us when we pray according to His will.
Are you rejoicing in hope? Are you patient in troubles? Are you steadfastly in prayer? It's time we stop playing games because the enemy is at work in our world and He is playing for keeps. We cannot afford to have lip-service-only Christianity and think we are right with God. We must know eternity is long and hell is hot. We should be praying, studying and worshiping diligently as we await Jesus' return. Wake up, look up and ready yourself so that when He comes, you'll be ready. That will be the ultimate great day and I don't want anyone to miss it! Make a great day!
