Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! As we prepare for Holy Week, it is important for us remember the definitive truth that Jesus is the only way to salvation. Beside Him, there is no other and no other means by which we can be saved. God made it abundantly clear for everyone to understand.

We don't have to wonder if we did enough good works or if we were good enough to make it. God has leveled the playing field and said no one is good enough nor can anyone save themselves through works. It is only through the perfection of Christ and His obedience even to the point of death; death on a cross. That and that alone saves us.

His divine blood and perfect sacrifice not only atoned for our sins under the law, but redeemed us from the curse of the law of sin and death that we who believe in Him will have eternal life. If there was some other way, then God is too cruel to serve because who would send their only Son to be punished and die like Jesus did just for there to be some other way? But there is no other way and that is why Jesus is so controversial.

He is absolute. There are no loopholes or shortcuts. It is through Him and Him alone that we have any hope of salvation. Believe, trust and follow Him in obedience and you will have eternal life. That is our hope and promise. Thank Him today for the clear pathway to heaven as you make a great day!
