Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! One way we prove we love God is by how we obey Him and treat others, especially in the church. I see so much discord going on in the body at large and it is not of God. We can't afford to lose sight of what our greatest witness is, especially in this last hour.
People will know we are from God by how we love. If we argue about who is right about every theological topic, yet cannot love one another through debates and disagreements, what do we really have to offer anyone? What are we telling the world about Jesus?
The fact is, no one is 100% right about any of it because our finite minds cannot fathom all the depth, height and width of God's perfect love. His ways will always be higher than our ways. There are some things that are without question, yes, and we can know the truth about Christ and living for Him because of the word. But some things are opinions and speculation which need to be left up to each one working out their own salvation with fear and trembling.
If we can know everything knowable yet fail to love, we are as worthless as a clanging cymbal in a desert. If we are truly disciples of Christ, we will love each other through disagreements, misunderstandings, hardships and trials. We will celebrate what Christ has done for us and through us without jealousy. If we do this, the world would take note that we have been with Jesus. Let us love one another in truth and humility as we seek to make each day a great day!
