Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

ree

Good morning! I lived with a spirit of fear for many years. I regret all the time I lost in my younger years to fear. If I could go back and change things, boy would I! But, God redeems our time and lets us have a better later part than our former part.

You don't have to be a slave to fear. You also don't have to live with regret. Regret is actually tied to fear because you fear you missed out on something that you can never get back. Fear is a liar. That's why we must trust in the Lord.

God is outside the confines of time. He can redeem what we perceive as loss. He can keep us safe in the shelter of His mighty hand. It is a trap to live in fear and if you give it any space in your life, it will take over your life. The fear of man is directly related to a lack of trust in the Lord.

Man is not greater than the Lord nor can man do anything to you really. I mean the worst man can do to a believer is threaten them with heaven. So, what are you afraid of? Let the Lord free you from the snare of fear and let His perfect love drive out all fear. Learn to trust the Lord in all things at all times. He is worthy of all your attention. Let Him take the space of fear in your life so you can fearlessly make each day a great day!
