Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! The Apostle John was writing to tell us that within ourselves, we have no ability to resist sin. It is attractive to us and easy for our fallen nature to succumb to. He points us to Jesus, the light of the world.

He has no darkness in Him at all. Without Him, we are full of nothing but darkness. All have sinned and fallen short of God's standard. We must look to Jesus who never sinned and is full of nothing but light.

Jesus desires for us to never sin, but if we fall short, He is our Advocate to go before the Father on our behalf. If we confess our sin, He is faithful to cleanse us of our sin and all unrighteousness. We have to trust Him to be the righteousness we need. Jesus is always the answer and His blood is what cleanses us from unrighteousness. Trust Him and keep Him on your mind as you make a great day!
