Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

ree

Good morning! I used to be depressed all the time as a teenager. I looked down all the time and rarely looked up. When Jesus saved me, I looked up and saw everything I had been missing. My perspective changed.

When you look down, you have a very narrow perspective and a small window in which you view the world. When you look up, that's when you see how vast the world is and there is much to see and think about. How often do you look up?

When I got married, my wife and I honeymooned in NYC. We went to the top of the Empire State building and saw everything from a very different perspective being over eighty stories high above the city. We saw the city from a very different viewpoint. When we get to a high place and look to the high places, we see further than our normal lens.

When you look up and see the goodness of God, it helps you to get out of the bubble of your problems and trouble. Trouble wants all of your attention, but if we look to God, we are not overwhelmed but find the answer to our deliverance. Look up! Know the Lord who made it all will help you when you call upon Him in distress. Thank Him for His help and for teaching you how to make a great day!
