Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! This time of year is a beautiful time as the seasons change and the temperatures cool. The leaves start to change, at least here in Eastern United States and a transition is noticeable.

There are also spiritual transitions happening that leads into a lot of spiritual warfare. Many people in the fall and winter get depressed. Many get sick and others isolate themselves away from those who love and care about them. How do we battle these things?

Prayer is extremely important in the life of a believer. Proclaiming the love of God, His holiness and faithfulness will keep you encouraged. Praise and worship are weapons of warfare that are mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. The word of God is our shield against the fiery darts of the enemy and the sword that pierces him through.

We must learn to encourage ourselves individually and corporately in these dark times we live in. Let the love of God wash over you with His kindness and grace to strengthen you to be an overcomer. Let His righteousness guard you in holiness against the wiles of the enemy. Let His perfect word empower you against the lies and accusations of the enemy so that in all things in every way you can be victorious and make each day a great day!
