Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

ree

Good morning! Delayed obedience is just disobedience. That may be hard to hear, but it is the truth. A truth I have found to be a painful lesson to learn. Have you ever put off doing something the Lord told you to do?

If you have, like me, I'm sure you found out how bad of an idea that is. I knew I was supposed to do something, but it was a big move and something I wanted to be sure of. But, I kept using that as an excuse to do what I knew God had told me to do.

Staying too long in "wanting to be sure" made the transition harder than it needed to be, longer than it was supposed to be and more costly than I thought it would be. When you know God has told you to do something and when He has told you to do it, then do it without delay. Make haste to run to obedience because His blessing, provision and peace are on the other side of your obedience. Keep His commandments with haste so you can live the blessing of obedience and make every day a great day!
