Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Worldly governments will all eventually turn corrupt. They turn their backs on their people, commit crimes against humanity and collapse under financial or political mishandling. But heaven is different.

God will never abuse or misuse His power. He will never be financially irresponsible. He will never turn His back on His people and He cannot become corrupt. As believers, we belong to a kingdom and have citizenship in that kingdom.

Heaven is where we belong and the government that rules over us. The world and its governments will all fail and disappoint, but we have a place that is pure and undefiled by the things of this world. We can have an earnest and eager expectation of our King coming for us to take us home with Him.

A place where no corruption exists, no sorrow is known, perfect peace abides and our King can never be dethroned. Jesus will come back for us and is coming soon. Get ready, stay ready and do all you can to bring others with you as you make a great day!
