Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! God has no origin. That is tough to grasp. Everything around has an origin. But God is outside of time, space and matter. He is self-existent. That's part of what makes Him God.

We see things like the petrified forest, the giant redwoods, the mountain ranges and realize the history of years, but God is beyond that. He is ageless. Everything we see is from His creation when He spoke forth and brought it all into existence.

Often, we focus so much on what we see, that we forget just who it is that created it all and is unaffected by it. When you put your life in His hands, you are safe in the protection of God who cannot be overtaken by anything. Choose to focus on Him and remind yourself of who you belong to. Encourage yourself that God is God and He alone is sovereign. Look to Him as you strive to make a great day!
