Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! This verse is really the crux of the Christian faith. Because Christ lives, we can have confidence that we also will live with God in eternity. As an old hymn says, “Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.”

We know that no matter what unknown trials or perils may befall us tomorrow, we will have the strength to face it as we are empowered by the Holy Spirit. And if tomorrow does not come, as it is promised to no one, and life is fragile and fleeting, we have the confidence to know that we continue on in heaven with our Lord in a far better reality than what we will even have on our best day in this life.

May we hold tight to the hope that we have, while generously sharing that hope with those around us. Reminding our fellow believers of the hope that we have when times are dark and it is so easy to forget and also being a light to those still living in darkness that they may come to desire the hope that we have and be drawn to the light of the Gospel.
