Good morning! God took the innocent and treated Him like the guilty, so He could take the guilty and treat them like the innocent. This is the mystery of the gospel that the love of God would make the great exchange. Letting us go free, forgiving our sin and gifting us eternal life.
What a glorious thing! Jesus became sin so He would suffer the wrath of God to atone for our sin. Then, He made us heirs and joint-heirs with Christ. We were unrighteous, Jesus is perfectly righteous. The great exchange...
Jesus took on unrighteousness so we could become the righteousness of God in Him. The key is that you have to be in Him. Yes, He died for all, but not all have received Him. I can give you a bar of expensive soap, but until you apply it, you will not be clean. So it is with salvation.
God has given us the gift, and no matter how expensive His gift, until it is applied, you remain in your sin. Apply the gift and live in Him so that you can become what you could never be on your own; righteousness. Live in Him as you make a great day!
