Saturday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Writer's picture: Bret SanorBret Sanor

Good morning! The Lord is patient to endure the sins of mankind. Why? Because His desire is that not any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Any means any and all means all.

It is not selective wording that God uses concerning His desire or promise. It is inclusive to mean He wants everyone saved and no one to go to hell. But He is a kind God who gives us the power to choose.

Saying a prayer once is not repentance and saying you are saved but have no evidence of a transformed life is not true salvation. Without a heart change and a turning away from sin, there is no assurance of salvation.

If you choose not to repent of your sins, there is no forgiveness for your sins because you refuse to turn from them and they remain. God gives a promise of eternal life for anyone who repents and puts their faith in Christ. Be part of the "all" who come to faith through repentance and not the "any" who perish in their sins as you make a great day!
