Good morning! We spend so much time carrying the weight of control. We try to be the ultimate judges of our circumstances, the strict rule-makers of our outcomes, and the kings ruling our own daily lives. Yet when life shifts unexpectedly, that burden quickly leads to burnout, anxiety, and exhaustion. Trying to manage every outcome is a job we were never created to hold.
Isaiah 33:22 reminds us that God holds every authority that we tend to stress over. He is our Judge, meaning our true identity and value come from His grace, not the opinions of others or our own self-criticism. He is our Lawgiver, meaning He provides wise, loving boundaries for our lives so we don't have to guess our way through the dark. He is our King, meaning the ultimate responsibility for our future rests securely on His shoulders, not ours.
When you step into today, stop trying to rule a kingdom that isn't yours. Surrender the need to fix everything, earn every outcome, or prove your worth. Let Him lead, guide, and protect you, because when God takes His place as your Judge, Lawgiver, and King, the natural result is peace: He will save us. Think on this today as you make a great day!
