Saturday's Devotional - 4/25/2026

Good morning! The first four verses of Hebrews 1 are all one sentence that describe Jesus. In summary of those verses, and much of the entire chapter which lays the foundation for the whole book, makes the claim that Jesus is better.

Better than what? Better than everything. He is better than angels, better than humans, better than heaven itself. He is not only the Son of God, but God. His blood is divine which is why it was an acceptable sacrifice to God that would cleanse of our sins once and for all.

No other sacrifice will ever be needed to take away the sins of the world. His blood still intercedes for us on the mercy seat of God in heaven. He is the image of God, glorified and full of all power and authority. Ruling from heaven, soon will return to take His bride, the church, home. We will come and rule and reign with Him on earth according to Revelation chapters 19-22.

We have hope because He didn't just die for our sins but rose from the dead to redeem us from sin and justify us by His grace through faith in Him. Look up and ready yourself for the hope of glory! He is coming soon and nothing will be worth being distracted from Him. Praise Him for His wonderful gift and selfless sacrifice that purchased for us eternal life as you make a great day!
