Good morning! We can see evil on display right now in many forms. People are doing all manner of things that hurt and destroy people in many ways. But the hidden evil is sometimes the area where people really let the devil take root in their lives.
The Pharisees memorized the Scriptures. They knew the law inside and out. They knew righteousness. But they let evil thoughts take hold of them and turned it into actions. They devised evil in their hearts, plotted together how to carry it out and then took action.
They went astray from everything they knew and what God had said was good. They crucified their Creator. That is how evil takes root in even the most well-meaning of people. You have to not only know the Scriptures, but let them take root in your heart and mind.
When evil thoughts come, don't let them stay. Think and devise good thoughts of truth, mercy and justice. Think on the goodness of God. Keep the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom. If you devise good and not evil, mercy and truth will be your portion. Keep your thoughts stayed on Jesus. Then, you will devise ways to always make a great day!
