Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! This verse is backwards from how the world thinks, believes and acts. They say to exalt yourself to get ahead. Lift yourself up and make your own success. In the words of Jesus, "What shall it profit you to gain the whole world and lose your own soul?"

Our lives are supposed to glorify God and draw people unto Him, not ourselves. When He lifts you up, it will be higher than you could lift yourself up and people will see past you and know that it was God. He will get the glory due His name and you'll be in a better position than if you did it by your own hands.

Every time i have tried to do it my way, I have failed miserably. Every time I did it in my own strength, I was exhausted and burned out. Whenever I have let the Lord do it His way in His strength, it has been better and greater than if I had tried to do it. Humble yourself in His sight and He will lift you up in due time the right way. Then everyone will see Him and praise His name. Do it God's way and you'll always make a great day!
