Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! So often, people do the opposite and treat people how they get treated. Jesus tells us to live differently by doing to people what we want them to do to us. We treat people with respect, dignity and love regardless of how they treat us.

Why? Because while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. We deserved to be on the cross, yet Jesus, who never sinned, took our place. He didn't wait for people to repent, He didn't wait for people to treat Him like the Messiah.

He lived perfectly, died horrifically and rose the dead victoriously so we could have hope. He treated us like we didn't deserve with grace and mercy. So, be gracious and merciful towards others. When they are mean, be loving. When they do hurtful things, pray for them. When they lie about you, forgive them and let God vindicate you. Then, you will be blameless children of God, fulfill the will of God and make a every day a great day!
