Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! I like to help people. I enjoy being able to give someone a word of encouragement, wisdom for a situation or advice in something I am knowledgeable about. When it helps someone, it is great joy to me.

I help with my daughter's cross country team by helping to take down the team tent, gather up everything and take it to the bus to load it. I enjoy being a grunt. The one coach was trying to make his bag of zip ties last all season that he uses to hang up the senior posters.

I showed him how to cut the zip ties in a way that allows you to reuse them. It brought so much joy to him to learn this little life hack. I gave him other tips I've learned over the years and he was like, "Man, I'm getting married soon and this is going to help me so much!" Sometimes, it's just simple things like this that have a big impact on someone.

We don't always have to be super spiritual with people to impact them with the love of God and the good news of the gospel. It's the day-to-day stuff like that example I shared that gives you influence. It helps bring joy to someone else's life and to your own. Pray for wisdom, share it often when given the opportunity and love people where they are. You'll always be able to make a great day that way!
