Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! What is the one mind we are to have? It's not that we are cult-like with mantras and chants. It's that we are focused on Jesus and doing the will of God. To love Him and others striving to live a holy life and be motivated by His love He showed us in Jesus.

We judge through discernment. We understand the spiritual things that those who are not in Christ do not see nor understand. We accept the things of God and follow them knowing it leads us to eternal life (1 Corinthians 2:14-16). We love one another as Christ first loved us.

Forgive one another and do not hold onto grudges. Be compassionate towards each other and love as a family that has no dysfunction. Be patient and courteous, kind and loving to each other and this is what having the mind of Christ is like.

It doesn't mean we tolerate sin or bad behavior. It doesn't mean we don't correct. It means love is the motive, truth is the guide and Jesus is head of all authority in all things. Put this into practice. Pray for God to fill you with this mindset and be willing to live it out. You will learn how to make each day a great day!
