Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! There are a lot of new gospels coming out that are very dangerous. They claim Christ, but put all the work of salvation on what you do, your faith, your belief, your works, your lifestyle, etc. Be careful!

If we believe anything other than Christ and Him alone for salvation, this is another gospel, another religion, a false doctrine and not inline with Scripture. If I get asked why I should be let into heaven, and my answer is because I believed, I have faith, I turned from my sin, I've gone to church, I've preached, I, I, I, then I must repent.

If my answer is anything other than because of Jesus, then I am in error, arrogance and false belief. My only part in salvation is accepting what has already been done through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. The glory of my salvation is not in my belief, not in my repentance, not in my works, but in Jesus and Him alone. Anything more and I am not trusting in His blood to be enough and I am still lost! May you glory in Him and Him alone as you live for Him for what He has done as you make a great day!
