Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! It is important to remember in the dark what we learned in the light. When dark times come, and they will come, we need to keep our mind on God. He is our safe place to run for shelter and protection.

Even in good times, we need to keep this in mind and not grow complacent. Complacency creates weakness and vulnerability. But understanding where our strength lies and in whom our strength is derived from, helps us to be fortified like a military base.

Times of trouble are here. There is a lot of political unrest, financial strain, wars and rumors of wars, corruption, violence and an erosion of morality. But we have a greater hope than in a politician or political system. God is present in the midst of our trouble. He is just waiting for His people to come to Him and take refuge in Him and not the things of this world. Call on Him and let Him be your refuge, strength and present help as you make a great day!
