Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Jesus is the Word who was with God and was God. From the very beginning, Jesus has been the Word. This is why the word will never pass away, because He is eternal, so His word is eternal.

Jesus didn't have empty words. He meant what He said and only said what He meant. He didn't frivolously use words. He intentionally said what needed said exactly how and when it needed said. He said only what He heard the Father speaking.

How often do you use your words carelessly? How often do you say things just to fill space without thinking about what is being said or how and when it is being said? We need to learn to lean on the Father and be an echo of His words.

We need to be careful with our words and to remember Jesus' words at all times. He was never trapped by words, so we need to let His words be enough for us that we wouldn't be trapped by the enemy. Fill your life with His eternal words and let heaven make its abode in you as you make a great day!
