Good morning! Being grateful is not about a day or even a season, but a lifestyle. God has a protocol for entering into His presence. It is bookended by gratitude. The beginning of this verse tells us the protocol but the end of it tells us the why behind the what.
When you have experienced the goodness of God who shows us everlasting mercy, you have a reason to be thankful. When you live in a world of confusion because of all the lies surrounding everything going on, you can be thankful and rest on His everlasting truth that endures beyond the culture of the day. His truth is timeless and sure. It doesn't change because laws change that legalize what He has declared sin.
When you experience the love, grace and mercy of God, you see His goodness and understand though we deserved death, He gave us life through Christ.
