Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! I remember going on a vacation with my family to a place that had a lot of areas to hike. There was a path that not everyone could go through because it was a very narrow space through a very large rock on top of a mountain.

We debated about turning around, but I pressed through it because I wanted to see what was on the other side. Though it was tough, tight and even scraped me up a bit, the view of what was on the other side was worth the effort.

The beauty of the reward was worth more than the pain and struggle of the journey. Just like my hike, life is a journey. For those who are saved, we walk a different path than the world. It can be painful, costly and even lonely, but the reward is worth the temporary struggle.

Not everyone went with me through the crevice, so they only got to see the pictures I took. They saw my reward. I encourage you, stay on the narrow path, go through the narrow gate and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, our reward, because even though the journey may be tough, the beauty of the reward will be worth all the effort.
