Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Under the law and old covenant, a man was selected through a stringent process to become the high priest. He would offer sacrifices for himself and for the whole nation once a year.

Over and over, he had to make atonement for sin without messing up one part of the protocol. It never removed the sins, just buried or covered them under the law. But then God sent His Son, Jesus to be the last sacrifice needed for sin. He was apart from sin to cleanse us from it permanently.

Not only has He atoned for our sin, but has redeemed us from it. We who believe and have accepted this gift, also have a promise. We wait for it with expectation because we know God always fulfills His promises. Jesus is coming back. It's that simple.

When He does, will you be found waiting and watching? He will come not as a bleeding Savior, but as the Lion of God. He is coming for His bride, the church. All the signs the Bible speaks about of this are happening to show us He is coming soon. Are you ready? Get right with God, let Jesus be your Lord and Savior and live for Him so you too can eagerly await His coming and make each day a great day!
