Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Even though yesterday was Resurrection Day, it's important to remember the gospel every day. The disciples had let what happened cloud their memory or what Jesus said. All throughout the New Testament, the reminder of what Jesus has done is repeated over and over.

It serves as a reminder to keep thinking about Jesus and the gospel message. It's easy to let life get in the way and cause you to lose focus. We can't afford to forget in the darkness what we learned in the light.

Have you lost focus? Are you too busy to take time to think about Jesus? It happens, but the good news is that you can come to Him with your burdens and busyness to receive the living waters of the well of salvation. Even the disciples who were with Jesus for three years lost hope.

But we can refocus with an encounter with Jesus that restores hope, refreshes our spirit and renew our faith. When they encountered the living Jesus, it changed everything and gave them the grace and strength to carry out the mission and purpose of their lives. So it can be with you. Refocus on Jesus and let Him rejuvenate you so you can make a great day!
