Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Writer: Bret SanorBret Sanor

Good morning! I remember reading this as a kid in an old King James Bible and wondering why I wouldn't want the Lord to be my shepherd. I later learned it meant when He is my shepherd, I will not be in need. He satisfies my needs and gives me all I need.

I just have to remember He is my supply and my provider and stay out of His way when things don't look like they're going right. He teaches through wisdom and through our mistakes. He guides as His provides. He is a good shepherd.

You have to remind yourself when you are in the valley, even the one of the shadow of death, that He is with you and provides for you. He is our safety, comfort, shelter and provider. He restores our weary souls and refreshes our tired bodies.

He is the Good Shepherd! Encourage yourself in the Lord and remember where your help comes from. It comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. He will come through because He is faithful! He is who He says He is and will make a way. Trust Him today as you let Him lead you in peace to make a great day!
