Good morning! How do we suit up with the armor of God? We must remember to not skip all the things before these verses before trying to apply these verses. There are principles in every chapter of Ephesians that teach us about spiritual warfare and holy living.
Learning who we are in Christ and what He has done for us. Learning about the grace of God that saves us through faith. Learning how to put off the old person and put on Christ. Learning how to have healthy relationships. All these things come before the armor.
If we suit up before we prepare ourselves, we will have cracks in the armor and it will not protect us or be useful in battle. Apply everything and then put on the armor found in chapter 6. Then you will be prepared for war, dressed for battle and be victorious against the adversary.
Let the word teach you how to win spiritual warfare. It's not about the person giving you a hard time. It's not the flat tire in the morning before work. It's not the dropped call on the cell phone. There is a spiritual enemy not easily seen without natural eye that wants you at war with everyone and distracted from the true enemy. Be aware, stay alert, know the true enemy and suit up so you can make each day a great day!
