Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Jesus is coming. When? No one knows the day or the hour, but Jesus told us there would be sure signs to let us know the season. Those signs have amplified and intensified in recent years. The enemy is ramping up warfare like never before because even he recognizes the time is short.

If the devil recognizes the soon coming of Jesus, how much more should the church? We shouldn't be taking our faith for granted or live like Jesus is never coming back. Rather we live to see it in this generation or not, we need to live like we know it could be any time, because it could.

We shouldn't be caught off-guard. We should be ready and waiting for Him when He comes. We need to live in holiness and godliness. Not because of unreasonable fear or religious duty, but because we love Him for loving us. We need to live rightly because our life may be the only Bible anyone ever reads and it should be preaching the gospel of Jesus, not self.

Many celebrities are talking about Jesus and even trying to evangelize but when you look at their life, there is nothing that is different. They don't live in holiness and godliness. Without repentance, there is no forgiveness of your sin. Don't listen to false teachers and false prophets who will lead you to a fake Jesus who doesn't require any change. It's dangerous to think a holy God requires no change from the sin which crucified His Son. Be careful, be diligent and live like you know the cost of your sin as you make a great day!
