Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Writer's picture: Bret SanorBret Sanor

Good morning! This verse reminds me of a worship song that came out in the 1990's during an era when choruses and a style of contemporary worship emerged and grew popular. I didn't realize at the time they were based on Scripture.

Now I do and get taken back to a simpler time in life and a reminder of my initial salvation experience. I also have a lot of perspective to not just sing catchy songs, but to think about the words and what they mean. Do we really take the time to think about the songs we sing in worship?

To worship means to bow. Do we really bow to the Lord? Not only in our posture but in our hearts. Do we acknowledge Him as the Lord our Maker, as God Almighty? If we truly believe, we should. He is the Lord and we are His people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Think about the meaning of this verse, apply it to your life and go make a great day with joy!
