Friday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! When we seek to do right not only as individuals, but as a nation, God exalts us as a nation. When we seek to do wrong as a people and agree to sin and exalt sinful behavior, we become a reproach to the world.

America is at a tipping point. We must decide as individuals, as a people and as a nation what we will seek to do. Either righteousness or sin. Church, choose wisely and stop compromising! We can seek to be relevant but if we compromise, how are we righteous?

If we are willing to compromise to be accepted by the culture God told us would hate us because it hated Jesus, how will we ever be anything more than a reproach? We bring judgment to the house of God and to our nation. Let us stand up and be righteous according to the word of God and not the federal laws, cultural norms or political popularity.

God still declares the standard for us as "Be holy as I am holy" as our mandate. Let us take it seriously not from a legalistic standpoint, but from a godly living perspective that lets others know He lives in us and we are ashamedly His children. Take a stand for righteousness today as you make a great day!
