Monday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! I hear a lot of people saying, "Why would a loving God ever send anyone to hell?" My reply is, "He doesn't. Your choices and rejection of Jesus is why anyone goes to hell." God has done everything to gives us eternal life and forgiveness through Christ.

Heaven is not fair. Through Christ, God gives us forgiveness and eternal life we don't deserve and spares us from the judgment we do deserve. God's plan from the beginning had redemption in mind because nothing could ever be just like Him, even if He created it.

There is only one God. He alone is holy, just and perfect. No one could ever save themselves. If they could, they would keep themselves from ever sinning. But it is impossible. That's why God sent Jesus to be what we could never be, to do what we could never do and save us from ourselves.

His purpose is relationship with His creation. His grace has granted us mercy instead of judgment. Our only work is to believe and follow Christ in humility and surrender. Trust in His perfect work knowing it is Him and Him alone that saves and calls us heavenward. Bless His name today as you make a great day!
