Monday's Devotional - 5/04/2026

Good morning! Many people have a fear of death and dying. The uncertainty of eternity or what lies beyond this life scares them. Without trusting in Christ, it should scare you. The sting of death remains for those who do not know the Lord.

For us who know and trust Him, death has lost its sting. A believer in Christ never really dies, they just change their residence from earth to heaven. The body may die, but the spirit lives with Him in eternal life. That is our victory!

In Christ, death has lost its power and lost its sting. It is not something to be feared by a believer. For those without their hope in Christ, it is a fearful thing to die. You feel the fullness of death and have eternal death. It is the payment for the work of iniquity in an unrepentant heart. How tragic! Put your hope in Christ and fully trust Him with your life. You will no longer have to fear death or eternity. Death will lose its power over you. Its sting will be no more and it will not have victory.

Through Christ, you will live forever in victory over death because Jesus overcame death, hell and the grave. Those in Him will one day live in this eternal victory. No more death, no more tears, no more pain and no more sorrow. Trust in Jesus and you will have no fear of death and will have the confidence through Him to make every day a great day!
