Friday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! For anything to grow, it must be attached to a source that provides nutrition. If we want our minds to grow, we have to feed it information, knowledge and stimulation to challenge our thinking. If we want our bodies to grow, we have to feed them food and work them to challenge our strength.

If we want our spiritual lives to grow, we have to feed them spiritual nourishment through the word of God, prayer and fellowship. We have to stay attached to the source. Jesus is the source. He is the vine rooted in eternal life. We are the branches that have to remain connected to Him in order to sustain life, bear fruit and live a life of purity.

If a branch breaks off from a tree, it dies. It is cut off from the supply of life. If we do not remain attached to Christ, we will die and not bear any fruit. Without Him, we can do nothing. He is life. Stay attached to Him. His body is the believers all over the world. Stay attached to a good church so you can grow, bear much fruit and live a life pleasing to God. Stay attached and live so that each day you can bear fruit and make it a great day!
