Friday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Whenever God has a message, He raises up a messenger to release it. He used many prophets to announce and/or pronounce what He is doing, going to do or wants to do at a particular time.

It is meant to get our attention and point us to Himself. He spoke all throughout the Old Testament through many different prophets to give us details about the coming of Jesus so He would be recognized when He showed up. Those prophesies gave specific instructions and indications to show us what to look for, the place He would be born and the signs following all that would take place.

Are you looking for the signs and discerning the times that point to Jesus? The Old Testament not only pointed to the first advent of Christ, but also His second advent. He came as a baby in manger and will come again as the Lion of Judah; the conquering King. He promised He would come again and He will. Have faith in the Righteous One and let Him help you to stay joyfully looking for Him in His second coming as you make a great day!
