Friday's Verse of the Day Devotional

Good morning! Jesus loves you too much to see you run astray or let things stay in your life that do not belong. He sends correction because of His grace and love. Anyone who sees someone headed for trouble and does not warn them, does not love them.

Jesus warns because He loves. He rebukes to bring repentance. He knocks on the door to wake you up from your slumber. It's like a good neighbor who sees your house on fire in the middle of the night and comes to do all he can to wake you up so you can escape the flames.

Jesus is that loving good neighbor knocking on your door to wake you so you can escape the flames of hell. He provides safety, protection and shelter in the midst of trouble. He invites you into to His home to come dine and rest with Him. Will you answer the call? Will you heed the warning? Will you let Him love you and accept it as a gift of life?

My prayer is that in these dark times, you would run to the light of Christ. That you would answer the call of Him knocking. That you would receive His love and help bring others into His fold as well. His love is too great for you be denied. Let Him love you as you learn to love Him more each day and make each day a great day!
